WEEK 2 : Site Visit & Interview Session at H & Z G Agrofarm

Location : H & Z G Agrofarm, Pauh
Team Members : Sarendren, Durges, Hana, Athikah, Irni, Chang Zi Shen and Liew Yu Jie.

Purpose of the Visit :

This week, our team conducted a site visit to H & Z G Agrofarm in Pauh. The main objectives of this visit were :

- To observe the farm's day-to-day operations
- To understand their business model 
- To conduct a formal interview session with the management team. 

This visit gave us valuable first-hand exposure to how the business is run and how they engage with their local community, especially their target market: the Muslim community.

First Impressions : 

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the farm team. The surrounding environment was peaceful and filled with various agricultural activities. We noticed the cleanliness of the site and how the workers were actively engaged with customers and farm maintenance. 

The visit helped us understand their branding image like natural, local, and halal compliant which directly appeals to their intended audience.

Interview Session Highlights : 

One of the most insightful parts of the visit was our interview with the farm's representative Encik Hafizi. The discussion focused on several key areas related to their business and marketing efforts : 

- Current marketing strategies (primarily through Facebook)
- Understanding of digital platforms
- Challenges in expanding their online reach 
- Customer engagement methods
- Vision for growth 

We asked open-ended questions to allow them to share their experiences, struggles, and goals. They showed genuine interest in improving their digital visibility but admitted needing help with strategy and consistency.

Reflection : 

This site visit and interview gave us a deeper understanding of the real-world struggles that small agrofarm business face in going digital. While the farm has strong product base and loyal customers, their online marketing needs clearer direction and support. This interaction will guide us in tailoring digital strategies that match their goals and capabilities.
